Sale or return VAT implications?

If i sell goods with a condition that if the goods are not return within 30 days i consider this a sale.When do i account for VAT?

    Hi there

    Where the is a sale or return, the basic tax point is the earlier of:

    1. The time it becomes clearly certain that the sale has taken place; or

    2. 12 months after the removal of the goods.

    During a sale or return, a customer sometimes confirms that they want the item or sends a payment etc – then these can affect the tax point.
